versoclave® - lab pressure reactor

Laboratory pressure reactor system - for pressure reactions in metal pressure vessels

Reactor volume: 0.5 to 5.0 liter
Pressure: -1 (FV) to +60 / 200 bar
Temperature: -20 °C to +250 °C
Material: stainless steel, Hastelloy®

Other materials, pressures & temperatures are available

This multipurpose pressure reactor system is designed for the use of interchangeable steel pressure vessels. Safety features guarantee safe reactions under pressure.

The stainless steel or Hastelloy® reactors ensure high resistance against acids. Visual process control and monitoring is also possible under high pressure by using steel pressure vessels with sight glasses. Various low to high torque magnetic drives ensure efficient mixing and stirring low to high viscosity process media as well as excellent heat transfer.

The modular setup of the versoclave® system allows changing or upgrading for new tasks at any time.

With fast action closure and reactor lift it becomes very easy to operate also heavy metal pressure vessels. A wide range of accessories for feeding of liquids, solids, gas and others like catalyst baskets are available – contact us to define the right setup for your specific need.

Customer references

“We are very satisfied with our Buchi versoclave system which allows us to perform various types of reactions (controlled and free radical polymerizations, hydrogenation…) thanks to the pressure and temperature ratings as well as the high torque stirrer. We have two reactor sizes (1L and 3L vessels) that are easily switchable and that we frequently use to study the influence of the reaction medium volume. The safety features, the ease of use, and the reactor lift are additional assets that make this apparatus indispensable within our R&D department.”
Adrien Metafiot, Chemist, R&D Laboratory, ADFAST Corp.

"The Buchi Customized versoclave met our specific reaction conditions for our polymer processing research. We will be using the equipment to scale-up our reaction from a few grams to kilograms. The system will be used to perform hydrogenations and melt processing of polymers. The installed reactor is best suit for our reactions because of it pressure rating, volume, max temperature rating, and the integration of a high torque stirrer which is needed to process the polymer. The equipment came assembled and the only installation required was to configure electrical connections. All doubts and inquiries were resolved through email. We are satisfied with the service provided by Buchi and with the customized approach they took to make a reactor best suited for our application."
